Deaf, Determined, and Destined: My L3gendary Hustle

Born Deaf, I learned early to overcome barriers and build with what I had. As a kid, I sold roses, washed cars, and mowed yards—hustling before I even knew the word. In 2010, I won my first landscaping bid with no license, no vehicle, and only borrowed tools. I lost money, but I proved the job would get done right. After rebuilding my life, earning my BS and MBA at CSUB, and fighting through communication barriers and setbacks, I created Bakoboy Enterprises from scratch, followed by a nonprofit to help others. Now I’m focused on diversifying my business and writing a book to inspire people to rise above every obstacle placed in their path.
